July 4th, 2012: Swimming, followed by a delicious meal on the patio, followed by fireworks and awkwardness (when the neighbor boy crashed our party and absconded with our pop-its) followed by delicious cupcakes. All of these activities were made possible by extremely unusual, but perfectly lovely 70-degree weather.
| In truth, it was a little breezy and a little too drizzly some parts of the day, as Thea's hair demonstrates |
| If you're a food busybody, like I am, here's what we ate: grilled squash and grilled salmon, watermelon, coconut fruit salad, mango and black bean quinoa salad, and sweet corn tomalito (like Chevy's.) Truly a feast. |
| Thea didn't seem to mind that she generally had to stomp--rather than throw--her pop-its to get them to pop. |
| Charlie always jumps right in to help with the clean-up, the dear boy. |
| Eve was mad because Will wouldn't let her eat a flower she somehow got her hands on. |
| Antonia always enjoys a strawberries and cream cupcake. And I mean ENJOYS. |
| We've all been there: gazing longingly at the cupcakes that have been claimed for someone else. |

Can a brother get a tomalito recipe?
