Was there ever such a dollface as this? I think maybe not...and as evidence I have the opinions of about 6038 people who have commented on Antonia's beauty as I have been out and about with her. I have NEVER taken her anywhere without at least one person commenting on her beauty, from the Italian woman who was so overcome she gushed compliments in her native tongue, of which I could only understand "Que bella bambina!!" to the lady at Trader Joe's just yesterday who simply exclaimed "Magnificent!" I try not to be too prideful of the fact that I have adorable children, after all, all I did to bring that about was marry a man whose genes are wonderfully compatible with mine. And I was really taking a gamble there, I mean, you just never know, right? (My mom knew. She told me back in high school that if I married Will someday we would have cute kids.) But is there anything wrong with trying to profit just a little from that bit of good luck? I thought about it for about two minutes, and decided there is not, and then I sent some pictures of Antonia in to a cute baby contest. Results are pending.
A while ago, when all the extended family was in town celebrating Antonia's arrival, we attempted to take all the little kids to ride the carousel. Maybe disaster is too strong of a word to describe the outcome of that venture, but that is the word that comes to mind when I think about how Charlie would NOT sit on the horse and screamed for the entire 4-minute ride while I held him and hid my face in shame. As soon as the ride was over I marched him to the car to drive straight home for a nap. After about two minutes of driving he quieted down, and then asked in a sweet voice when we were going to ride the horsies. Anyhoo, after that first foray into the world of carousels, I was a little anxious about repeating the experience, but he kept asking and asking, so we finally went with my friend Stephanie and her girls.
Charlie was a little scared and wanted me to hold him tightly the first ride, but by the second ride he was feeling pretty confident. Reese never seems to lack in confidence, it helped for him to see her being independent.

- "I hear smork." Translation- I smell smoke.
- "Froop Loops" Translation- Fruit Loops
- "I'm gonna go to preschool with my kids." What kids? "Those kids, over there." (Random pointing at the bedroom walls and out the window) What are these kids' names? "Darmin." All the kids are named Darmin? "Um, yeah."
Antonia's favorite time-killers
- playing with my wet hair for much, much longer than I have the patience to endure
- playing fetch with herself: step 1. throw the toy; step 2. reach for the toy without leaving a sitting position, NO MATTER HOW FAR THE REACH IS; step 3. repeat
- feeding herself Froop Loops

Antonia IS adorable! I can't believe how big she's getting. We'll have to get together sometimes so we can see you guys. And your trip to San Francisco sounds so fun! I love love love the rainbow T-shirts part too!! That made me laugh!
She IS very beautiful! It's those big eyes!
Hey, just found your blog thanks to Natalie Salo telling me that you can get to it through Tser Diamond's blog...it was worth the search, love reading your entries. I guess it pays to be an avid reader and a good writer. You get people who actually want to read the words on your blog, not just look at the pictures.
